Dishonest Oakham Town Partnership Claim on Website PRINCE CHARLES AND DUCHESS OF CORNWALL VISIT OAKHAM FARMERS MARKET

Dishonest Oakham Town Partnership Claim on Website PRINCE CHARLES AND DUCHESS OF CORNWALL VISIT OAKHAM FARMERS MARKET

"Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall visited Oakham Farmers Market on Monday 28th July 2014.
They met members of the local community and business owners and talked to many stall holders.  This was part of a walk around Oakham and allowed them to meet a cross section of local people."

The Royal Couple did not visit the Farmers Market which trades once a month in Gaol Street.

They visited a carefully selected group of retailers and business's who created a mock market in our
market place.

Examples of this can be seen in the photographs the partnership publish, one example is Hambleton Bakery
who do not trade at the Farmers Market but do have a shop in Gaol Street.

It's not the first time the partnership has exaggerated the truth, I refer to an article released in the Rutland Times by the chairman and deputy Mayor Alf Dewis. He claimed a Sunday event attracted hundreds of
people and all the shop were open when actually only 6 were open and would have been normally open.
