Summer holidays at Burghley
Saturday 19th July - Wednesday 3rd September
Burghley House are doing what they can to help keep the kids entertained this summer with their childrens activities:
Beastly Boring Burghley Tours:
Join us daily at 10am (excluding Friday and Sunday) for a guided tour with a difference during the Summer Holidays from 19th July to 3rd September. Be guided around by our costumed guides and find out all the grizzly gruesome and horrible history associated with Burghley and the people who have lived here. Admission is free with a House and Gardens ticket for the day, but numbers for the tour are limited, so book your Beastly Boring Burghley day tickets here and your place will be reserved. Your ticket will then give you access to the House and Gardens for the rest of the day.
Each child will receive a free Beastly Boring Burghley Guidebook at the end of their tour.
Drop-in Craft Workshops: Monday 28th July - Friday 29th August
Join us during the school Summer Holidays for our monster themed drop in workshops, running weekdays from Monday, 28th July to Friday, 29th August (excluding Saturdays and Sundays)... we think they are monstrously good! Workshops will be taking place between 12pm - 4pm in the Sculpture Garden Classroom, adjacent to the Gardens of Surprise and are ran by our Education Department and will include making giant monster feet, dancing dragons and many eyed masks.
