Residents are being urged to take extra care this bonfire weekend as fire-fighters prepare to go on a four-day strike.
It is one of the busiest weekends in the fire-fighter calendar, yet members of the Fire Brigade Union will be striking for 96 hours because of a row over pensions.
From 6pm on Friday, October 31 until 6pm, the day before Guy Fawkes Night,
all union members will be on strike.
