John Bricknell, Former Measham Parish Councillor & Vice Chair, pleaded guilty to possessing illegal horse sex video,

The former parish councillor pleaded guilty to possessing an illegal video of a woman having sex with a horse when he appeared at Leicester Crown Court today.

The hearing was adjourned until November 21, for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.

Mr Bricknell last attended a meeting of the parish council on Thursday 13th February 2014
he read out a letter of resignation and departed.

Mr Bricknell was co-opted onto the parish council January 2009
he was elected uncontested May 2011

Mr Bricknell was a supporter of UK Coal and its plans to start opencast mining.

UK Coal pledged more than £1 million towards the project to restore a section of Ashby Canal.
John Bricknell, set up Measham and Ashby Canal Enthusiasts and raised a 1,400-name petition to support the controversial application


Ashby Canal Trust and Ashby Canal Association, are losing local support in Measham.
