Motorists advised to avoid A606 southbound after serious collision
Police are advising motorists to avoid the A606 between Oakham and Melton following a serious collision.
The collision occurred just after 12pm today (Monday October 6) on the southbound carriageway of the A606 and involved a HGV and car.
Emergency services are at the scene of the collision and the road is closed between the junction with Whissendine and Leesthorpe Road.
Motorists are being advised to avoid the southbound carriageway of the A606 between Oakham and Melton and seek an alternative route.
The road will be closed for some time and we would like to thank those motorists who are unfortunately caught up in the congestion for their patience whilst the emergency services deal with the incident.
