Day Lewis Pharmacy, Oakham, The Worst Ever Customer Service Notice, Black Friday Weekend

Day Lewis Pharmacy, Oakham, The  Worst Ever Customer Service Notice, Black Friday Weekend

Going back to the days I worked in retail, I was always taught every customer is important and
must feel so, even if it was busy. Of course behind that niceness there is one goal, if you can
squeeze out of the customer their last penny for the bosses and shareholders you are doing well.

To me these notices are telling the customer, we are only interested in your cash or credit cards.

Plastered on the sliding entrance door (hence the blurred image) and around the store not a very welcoming site. Considering the store was not that busy for the time of the year.

This Saturday is meant to be the busiest Christmas shopping and I know from my retail
experience men hate wrapping their partners gifts.

Why did they not ask customers to call back for the wrapped gifts a little later, that's how all the big stores succeed.

We are constantly asked to support the local independents and independent chains like this
if they can't be bothered to give the service why should we.

This store also sells a lot of overpriced designer brands and are supplied by those companies with
the expectation that the retailer will provide a high standard of customers service. They
often provide the materials to gift wrap.

You probably would have received better service at Wilko, Boots
