Rutland and Melton parliamentary candidate Ed Reynolds 'Best Small Shops Competition' awards ceremony at the Houses of Parliament.

IS THE UK'S BEST SMALL SHOP IN Rutland or the Melton area?

Rutland and Melton parliamentary candidate Ed Reynolds is calling on small shops in our lovely market towns and villages to enter the 'Best Small Shops Competition' for a chance to be recognised in an awards ceremony at the Houses of Parliament.

Applications can be submitted via www.bestsmallshops.uk and should set out in no more than 500 words why they are the best small shop focusing on:
innovation in the business, community engagement and entrepreneurial activity.

The closing date is 30th January and shortlisted applicants will be invited to a Parliamentary Reception on 25th February where the winner will be
announced.

Commenting, Ed said: "Rutland and Melton constituency, with small towns such as Oakham, Melton Mowbray and Uppingham, is home to many wonderful independent retailers who play an important role supporting the local economy and creating jobs all year round.

"This competition is the perfect opportunity for a small shop to showcase themselves and I would encourage local businesses to consider applying for this award. It would be superb if one of our shops was recognised in this way."
