Rutland County Council Tory Cllr Jonathan Munton 'Welland Partnership is Dreadful and Appalling' Video

Rutland County Council Tory Cllr Jonathan Munton 'Welland Partnership is Dreadful and Appalling' Video

The eyes of some Councillors are starting to open at Rutland County Council.

Perhaps a little late after four years Councillor Munton!

I would not be surprised if Mr Munton will soon be following in the footsteps of
his fellow ward Councillor Mr Gene Plews, who fell out with his Tory chums,

Councillor Munton for some time now has been showing he also shares some of the
poor qualities of his ward partner.

Although in this case I don't disagree with his  comments about the Welland Partnership.

The Welland Partnership is made up of the old guard, the type the local Tory leadership
enjoy.

Last year I posted facebook posts from one of their senior management, putting it
simply he was posting about his problems mainly stress of the job and booze.

Cllr King deputy leader later on said Cllr Muntons comments were unhelpful?

That is the issue with Rutland County Councils Tory leadership they won't even recognise
their are any issues to be dealt with.

Cllr Munton is a scrutiny member and I have been to a few of the finance meetings over the
years and constantly I hear poor comments about the Welland Partnership failings.

Maybe Mr King should sit in at those meetings and read the reports before slapping down
one of his own, who this time was speaking the truth.

Because of poor leadership at RCC and management as in the case of the Chief Executive
Helen Briggs, no one who is capable of doing a good job wants to take up employment
at the council.

The council have raised the employment issue in the past and blame publicity surrounding
the UKIP complaints and rather daftly my blog.

The council has shown and is showing it does not care who it destroys along the way.

It appoints unqualified people from within, when they can't successfully recruit from
outside.

The monitoring officer is a fine example of that. A person who was content with her basic
job and then rather joyfully accepted her new role.

The last meeting where she was meant to give legal advise to the chair, was a perfect example
of the error RCC has made by not employing a qualified person.

Over time the style of her email correspondence has drastically deteriorated.

Many Councillors are gossiping about her personal life and relationship.

Pointing out to anyone 'look she has taken her wedding rings off' all very sad if true.

To me she certainly did look as if she was suffering from stress this week.

Well done Mr Begy, Mr King and Mrs Briggs.
