Cllr Gene Plews Former Conservative Cabinet Member Rants & Walks out of Rutland County Council Meeting Due to Lack of Oakham Representation

Cllr Gene Plews Former Conservative Cabinet Member Rants & Walks out of  Rutland County Council Meeting Due to Lack of Oakham Representation

At the special budget meeting Cllr Gene Plews interrupted and protested about the lack of representation for Oakham on the Council's cabinet.

Councillor Plews claims he resigned from that very cabinet and the Conservatives 23 months
ago.

I would suggest he was pushed, for his conduct towards people in his ward including myself.

If he did resign from the cabinet and was not kicked out, why is he protesting the lack
of representation?

If he had not resigned then Oakham would be represented.

I have tracked down the councils audio recording. Unfortunately the council has cut the
recording at what is described by others as very poor conduct from Cllr Gene Plews.

When the recording restarts Conservative Leader Roger Begy makes a comment case
proved. I assume this is currently confirming what people at the council are saying
"Cllr Plews has lost the plot" or "He is Nuts"

The chairman adjourned the meeting Cllr Plews eventually walked out.

I am told he intended to walk out just like the last meeting.  He signs in, so he can receive his allowance from the taxpayer, what a disgrace!

To think his good wife calls me a dole sponger, I wonder what you are meant to call
a councillor who claims his allowance for no public service?
