Hoton Arming Richard III For Battle
With local medieval armour expert Richard Knox and Dominic Smee, who was used as Richard III's body double in the recent Channel Four documentary Richard III "The New Evidence".
An illustrated talk will explore the different types of medieval armour, how Richard's scoliosis would have affected him in battle.
Dominic will recount how he got involved in the television programme and will wear the armour which was specifically commissioned for it.
After the talk there will be a Q and A session and the opportunity to handle some replica medieval arms and armour.
Doors open at 7pm for 7.30pm start.
Bar will be open.
Tickets £5 adults and £2 children.
