Norman Slater Former Tory Melton Borough councillor admits theft charge
He will be sentenced on 1st April 2014.
Initially Mr Slater said he was innocent after the Tories kicked him out of their group
and he said he would stand for re-election in May.
He changed his mind and resigned claiming ill health.
He was the town's Mayoral Candidate and had been a Councillor for 12 long years.
He stole just over £3000 from a lunch club.
