Mr Brown is married to his wife Louise and they have three children Oscar, 17, Imogen, 16 and Ben, 13.
A number of High Sheriff’s Awards were presented by the outgoing High Sheriff Miles Williamson-Noble
Recipients included David and Rebecca Malpas, Malcolm Robb from Voluntary Action Rutland,
Ron Simpson Mr Uppingham, Royce Green from the Lions Club of Rutland an award for the Rutland and Stamford Mercury.
Mr Brown has links to Leicesters Comedy Festival and brought a touch of humor to his
speech. Everything from telling Roger Begy the Tory Leader he has been given plenty of
money to restore Oakham castle in fact enough to knock it down and rebuild it.
He noted the good attendance pointing out how so many are willing to attend when a free lunch
is thrown in.
Some guests stopped to enjoy beef stroganoff or thai green curry a bottle of wine.
