Inspector Lou Cordiner Leicestershire Police agrees Oakham Town Councillors Proposal the use force against Public & Councillors

Cllr Alf Dewis Oakham Deputy Mayor

Inspector Lou Cordiner Leicestershire Police agrees Oakham Town Councils Deputy Mayor Alf Dewis Proposal to use force against Public and Councillors.

This Wednesday the deputy Mayor Cllr Alf Dewis is proposing the council implements a change
of policy.

It is assumed he will take up the role of Mayor in May so the enforcement of this new
policy supported by Leicestershire Police would be very beneficial to him to ensure
he get his way in all matters effecting our town.

His brutal and bullish approach to local democracy and local government is almost dictatorial in
style.

If you speak against his proposals and actions you must be shut up, his side kick Cllr Stan
Stubbs is the same. "down south we did not have people attend meetings" Oakham Town
Council are not interested in listening too or serving the people.

Cllr Dewis would like to lock the doors at meetings in the same way his non democratic
Town Partnership does and the many other behind closed door organisations he belongs to.

Cllr Dewis and others at Oakham Town Council have a habit of believing our local police
force is their own private force.

In this case it would appear history is repeating itself.

It is not the role of Leicestershire Police to give legal advice to Oakham Town Council
and it most certainly not the role of the Inspector to agree council  policy as stated
by Councillor Alf Dewis

Report No: TC0125

1.2 The police have been fully consulted and the Policy has the agreement of Insp.
Cordiner.

His report also mentions how the council will inform the police of meeting times and activity
those public meetings.

What interest is that to the police? Will he be requesting undercover police infiltrate
the council soon?

It is such a shame the council does not put as much effort into promoting meetings and
information to the wider community.

The lack of any local plan is proof of what Mr Dewis and his team fear, they don't
want community involvement but are very happy to take the tax payers cash and do as
they please with the fall support of Leicestershire Police.
