Councillor Joyce Lucas finally got Oakham Town Council to listen to her about the
apparent need for these new ugly cycle bollards.
Many have started to appear around town and remain unused, a couple are used permanently
by a local cycle repair who fixes advertising to the bike.
I and others find the location shown below rather careless and thoughtless.
Old Stone slabs in the historic market place destroyed and replaced with concrete.
They make a lovely addition to the tourists photographs.
Where is the Conservation Officer when you need him, probably hiding in the library?
