Oakham Town Council Inspection of Accounts An Electors Right

Oakham Town Council Inspection of Accounts A Electors Right

This year Oakham Town Council has decided not to publish the
official notice on-line.

Once again not complying with the localism act.

Perhaps this is why our lovely appointed Mayor suggested
at the last meeting Counillors did not need to read the
act. He would not want Cllrs noticing the many failings
of our lovely town little town council.

He also tell me now I am a town Councillor I can
not and should not be critical about the council
so from here on the Town Council will be described
as lovely in these days of freedom of expression and
speech.

If you wish to inspect your lovely town councils
accounts you can the notice says they will be
made available for inspection in the office if
you make an appointment via the Clerk up to
the 24th June 2015

The Clerk to the Council is Richard White.

The Office, that should be interesting. Our adorable
Mayor held an informal meeting with the old
council and banned all Councillors and Public
from entering the office. I  question this move
as all Councillors are elected to represent the
resident and the staff are employed by us
surely we have a right to enter the office of the
council we serve on?
