Judge Simon Hammond Jailed Mr Ramsay for two years At Leicester Crown Court
Ramsay was a foster carer in the 1980's with his estranged wife.
Mr Ramsay blames an operation for cancer 17 years ago, which left him impotent
and he sort a cure by visiting porn sites.
Sarah Acres, mitigating, said: "He's of exemplary previous good character with nine years in the army, a long career with the Royal Mail and working for a private employer.
"Things changed in 1997 when he had extensive and life changing surgery for cancer and the side effects caused him to lose his sexual appetite and he experimented with pornography searching for increasingly more shocking images and it spiralled out of control.
"He became a lonely and isolated individual and used the internet as a source of company.
"He's remorseful and fully cooperated with the police and no longer has a computer."
