Video and photographs to follow.

Rutland County Councils Audit and Risk Committee met this evening.

The external auditor's report was not available on-line before the meeting.

Cllr Marc Oxley standing in for Cllr Alan Walters complained about
receiving amended documents just before the start of the meeting.
He was the lucky one the public have yet to receive access to amended
any of the amended documents.

KPMG have withheld the Audit Certificate so they can further consider
issues regarding the Larkfleet Oakham North Development 106 Agreement.

KPMG said they had received concerns from electors, but none so far
had triggered an objection to the accounts. But their concerns had
meant that KPMG would need to investigate further They will be considering
their broader external audit statutory responsibilities.

Cllr Edward Baines was digging for details about those who had contacted
the Auditor. Wanting to know how many and where did they live?

Those who have raised concerns can sleep well tonight because the
auditor refused to answer his questions.

People now have an extended opportunity to raise any concerns relating
to the council 2014 - 2015 accounts.
