8. TREE SURVEY (Appendix B)
To authorise a Tree Survey to be carried out by Symbiosis Consulting at the following
locations:

 Cutts Close
 Royces Recreation Ground
 Land off Barleythorpe Road
 Willow Crescent Allotments
 Burley Road / Elm Close Allotments
 All Saints Churchyard
 The Vale

9. CHRISTMAS LIGHTS (Appendix C)
To consider a report and to decide whether to authorise additional expenditure on lighting as
detailed

10. PRIORITISATION LIST OF WORKS
To consider communications from Rutland County Council relating to the following and to
decide on any comments to be made:

 Replace existing zebra crossing lights on Melton Road with Zebrite lights (as installed
on the zebra crossing on Barleythorpe Road)
 Install 3 x Speed Indicator Displays (SIDs) on the Oakham Bypass (Appendix D(i))
(Members are asked to note that only one of these falls within the Oakham Parish
boundary and this is proposed to be situated near to the entrance to Alsthorpe Road see
map) (Appendix D(ii))
 Extend footpath on Cold Overton Road and move 30mph sign further out
(Appendix D(iii))

11. TABLE TOP SALE
To authorise the use of the Council’s premises at 2, Princess Avenue for a Table Top Sale on
Saturday 24th October 2015 organised by Cllr Mrs Joyce Lucas

12. PLANNING APPLICATIONS
To consider the following applications and to agree on any comments, observations or
recommendations to be made thereon

(i) 2015/0829/MAJ Aldi
Proposed retail unit (A1 Use Class) with associated car parking, landscaping and
servicing
Land west of Lands’ End Way
(Members are asked to note that this is a new proposal from Aldi)

(ii) 2015/0785/RES Larkfleet Homes
Construction of 42 No. residential dwellings and associated garages and infrastructure
Land between Barleythorpe and Burley Park Way, Barleythorpe, Rutland

(iii) 2015/0782/FUL Harris McCormack Architects
Replacement of roof due to disrepair. The existing collyweston Slate Tiles will be
replaced with natural Collyweston Slate tiles to the front and Bradstone Collyweston
Tiles to the rear. Repair and resurfacing of the rear flat roof with like for like material

(iv) 2015/0811/FUL CTIL and Telefonica UK Ltd
The replacement of the existing 12 metre high monopole (14 metres to top of antennas)
with a new 15 metre high monopole supporting 3 No. antennas, the replacement of an
existing radio equipment cabinet with 3 No. new cabinets and development works
ancillary thereto.

Building located within the Oakham Conservation Area

Replacement of windows and doors to residential properties located within the Oakham
