Rutland County Councillors Signed Cover Up Agreements When Told About Councils Mistake Which Lost £1.88m

Rutland County Councillors Signed Cover Up Agreements When Told About Councils Mistake Which Lost £1.88m

Councillors were called to a private informal meeting in July to be told about the councils
mistake which known to the Conservative leadership since April and kept quiet until after the election.

All Councillors were all told the mistake was commercially sensitive and must remain confidential.

The councillors present at the private meeting were asked to sign documents stating they understood if they breached the requirement for confidentiality it would become a conduct issue.

I can understand Tories wanting to cover this up.

It is disappointing Independents and other may have agreed to this. Especially the
one who protests about cover ups, in our high street each week and was willing to tell
people he knew a big secret.
