Former Rutland County Councillor Gene Plews calls for the resignation of the Conservative leadership at Rutland County Council

Former Rutland County County Councillor Gene Plews calls for the resignation of
the Conservative leadership at Rutland County Council

After the Council lose £1.88m 106 contributions from Larkfleet Homes.

Before Mr Plews Resigned from the Conservatives in 2013 he was
part of the upper table when this mistake was made.

Mr Plews remained on the council as an Independent until he lost his seat
at this year's election.

Mr Plews who no longer lives in Rutland spoke to Rutland Radio

Mr Plews calls the Conservative leadership of Rutland County Council
a very tired and stale partnership.

Referring to Roger Begy and Terry King

If he genuinely wants to see change at Rutland County Council
why does he not ask for the chief executives head and perhaps
the stalest of all the Deputy Chairman Edward Baines?
He could take his Tory daughter with him.

In her letter to the Rutland Times last week Helen Briggs
said the council had agreed with Larkfleet that the newly
agreed contribution won't be ring fenced, so I assume the
residents of Oakham and Rutland won't get any community
or sport hub now or any other long term benefit from the payment.
