Inaccurate Story Rutland Times Oakham Town Council Filming
This week Deputy Mayor Adam Lowe the council's press person
released a story to the Rutland Times full of inaccuracies.
Firstly he is not the Mayor, he is the deputy.
Secondly the recording and publishing of meetings is not new.
The council installed a costly defective system over a year ago
although it recorded many meetings these were not publish.
The Mayor Cllr Alf Dewis once told me they only installed the
system to record me a wise use of taxpayers money?
In the same article Cllr Lowe says members of the public
are welcome to attend most meetings, perhaps putting doubt
in a persons mind. All Council meetings are open to the
public. There are some very rare occasions when there
might be an exempt item on an agenda where public and
press are asked to leave.
