MP Alan Duncan Supporting Cuts Fire Service Cuts Here In Oakham Leicestershire Fire and Rescue

Sir Alan Duncan today has been supporting the cut throughout the day on Rutland Radio
News various clips have been broadcast.

This week 11 retained fire officers lost their job at Oakham Fire Station.
another fire engine going, the date set for this is 31st March 2015.
From that date Oakham will have one engine and something which
has been described as a rapid response unit a small truck with a car
jet wash attached if there are any crew members remaining that
should be a great tool for charity car wash day.

Although there has been a lot of public support for the fire service in Leicester
and Melton there appears to have been very little here in Oakham, something
which I can not understand.

During Rutland Radio's 8.00am news Alan Duncan said he thought our little
county would be OK.

In other clips he said he was concerned about some fire service cuts and felt
that Oakham had now had the necessary level of cuts.
