Rutland Fairtrade Market
Saturday, November 14th
The 2015 Fairtrade Market will be held on Saturday 14 November at Victoria Hall, providing an excellent opportunity to stock up on ethically produced gifts and foods in the run up to Christmas.
There will be a fabulous variety of stallholders, offering Fairtrade and ethically traded products from around the world, including foods, clothes, toys, accessories and hand-made crafts. In addition, there will be stalls selling a diverse range of locally made items such as Christmas cakes & puddings, woollen rugs & scarves, handmade bags and hand blended aromatherapy products. While browsing the stalls, visitors will be able enjoy Fairtrade refreshments and homemade cakes. There will also be information on current Fairtrade campaigns.
Through buying Fairtrade products, visitors to the market will be helping producers in some of the world's poorest countries to use trade as a means of improving their living standards. These producers receive a guaranteed price for their produce plus a Fairtrade premium which is invested in social or environmental projects in their wider communities.
