Tuesday, 1st December 2015
This year, Trade is celebrating World AIDS Day, presenting you with an interactive exhibition. Our open plan space will provide a great location for this event, which will include four emotive installations. These will be designed to celebrate the understanding of AIDS and associated themes within everyday life. The event title is “Visual AIDS at Trade” as you will be able to take part, explore and observe collectively our take on this very important event.
Ribbon
This arts and crafts area is channelling this year’s World AIDS Day theme which is: “Put a ribbon on it!” Participants will be able to decorate a square space on our ribbon mural using variety of red stationery and material products and get creative!
Screen A
Enter short movie experience. Our selection of movies focuses on current and bold perspective on AIDS and associated themes, such as testing, treatment, love and loss.
Screen B
In contrast to other movies, in this room we will show reflections and interviews from the time AIDS pandemic developed. Vivid and thought provoking portrait of life beyond AIDS in a documentary featured on our poster “Paris Is Burning”.
Shine A Light Of Remembrance
An opportunity to light a candle, share your thoughts and feelings in an imaginative way or reflect and remember in this ambient space. Walls will be covered by a collage of Trade photos from last 15 years – to also remember the history of Trade!
Talk to Trade
Meet the Trade team; talk about services we offer and/or to reflect on this year events whilst enjoying scrumptious cake!
