Harringworth Village Fete will be held in the grounds of the Manor House on Saturday 25 June (1 – 4 pm)
with a Car Boot Sale and Car Parking nearby. The Fete promises to be
better than ever, with new attractions including exciting children’s
activities, market stalls and plenty of refreshments, including
Pimm’s, a Barbeque and Afternoon Cream Teas.
As a bonus for the Fete this year the newly restored Flying
Scotsman train will ‘Steam’ over the Viaduct prior to
(10.00am) and after (8.00pm) the Fete. Harringworth is planning a
warm welcome including car parking and refreshments in the village.
There will be a great view of the steam train from the village and
for those wishing a higher vantage point the walk from the centre of
the village will be a better option than stopping on the narrow local
roads. The train will also travel over the viaduct around 10.00am in
the morning and 8.00 pm in the evening of Saturday 4 June.
To complement the historic journey of the Flying Scotsman there will
be an exhibition in Harringworth on the history of the famous
Harringworth Viaduct which was opened in 1880 and spans the Welland
Valley with its 82 magnificent arches as featured on the Harringworth
Village website
Updates on all the events in Harringworth this June will be posted on
the Harringworth Website www.harringworthvillage.org
village Facebook Page (Harringworth
Village News) and Twitter page (@harringworth).

the trains, the village historic photos, the quarrying and associated
trains etc plus surrounding stations on and off the Kettering to
Manton railway. A taster of the Exhibition can be seen on the
