Oakham School has purchased The Odd House Tavern, to expand music and drama facilities. subject to planning consent. Oakham School has no plans to demolish the Tavern. Subject to
planning it may demolish other properties nearby.
The School is not considering offering the Tavern as a staff or student bar although this option
might have been handy not so long ago.
Oakham School has also decided not to demolish the old police station and has notified parents
of it's intention to move the medical centre into the ground floor.
An Old Oakamian Cllr Walters appeared on the Taverns
Specials Menu back in May 2011.
A call for "change" a lot has changed here in Oakham
