Armed Forces Week Flag Raising Oakham Castle attend by Rutland County Council Oakham School and Catmose College
It rained I am not sure that is the only thing that keeps the public here in Oakham away from
the Armed Forces Week flag raising. Rutland County Council treat it like another remembrance
day service. Lowering standards to the ground.
Armed Forces week is not meant to be a depressing week, it was started to celebrate the
work and service of current members of our armed forces.
Personally I think it was a big mistake for the council to move this event away from
the library, at least there people passing stopped to watch the event.
If the event also returned the library it might not cost the army another wing mirror.....
