Belton Queens Birthday Celebrations

Sunday 12th June 2016

Belton

At 9am there is a service at St Peter’s followed by tea and coffee with a very warm welcome to all.

Amanda Steele will be judging your floral arrangements.

They need to be delivered to the church on Saturday.  Please add a card with your name.

At 11.30 the Secret Garden are organising games from yesteryear, or so we hear, which should be a lot of fun, free sausage rolls and orange juice available at this event.

If you would like to lend a hand please text Simon Tyler 07947 682912.

These things take a lot of work to prepare for and to clear up so any assistance would be most welcome, even if impromptu on the day! At 3pm the Village Hall will be open for the birthday tea.

Cakes, kindly donated by many villagers and sandwiches as well as other refreshments sponsored by the Parish Council will be available.

The Birthday Tea is of course, free. During the tea, if you or your children have made an iced birthday cake the winner(s) will be announced – please leave them on the table provided in the village hall with name and age underneath.

If your children have created a birthday card for the Queen, the winners will be announced.

The cards with name and age on the back need to be at Martin’s Haven, Church Street (almost opposite the church) by 5pm this Friday afternoon.

The winner of the floral arrangement will be announced and prizes will be given to all winners.

The Sun Inn will be open from 12 noon so there will be plenty of refreshment of the alcoholic kind on hand.
