Oakham Town Council Special Meeting Wednesday Why? Oakham Mayor has already signed accounts
I wonder why Oakham Mayor Cllr Adam Lowe has even bothered to call this meeting?
More evidence has been sent today which proves the old guard are still running the
council as they please.
At Wednesday's meeting we will be asked to approve the Town Councils Annual Statement
of Accounts, I am not sure why the Mayor has predetermined that we are going to approve
the statement, he is so confident we will he has signed the declaration and dated it 6th June 2016
on behalf of all members of the council.
It is unlawful for the chairman to sign the declaration without resolution from the council.
Some people might also notice the council agenda does not include the required consideration
of an internal auditors report before we consider the accounts. I am told there was a visit
from the internal auditor but I have yet to see evidence of his visit.

4. APPOINT A RESPONSIBLE FINANCIAL OFFICER
In the continuing absence of the Clerk appoint the acting Clerk as the RFO for the Council

To approve the Annual Governance Statement (Section 1 of the Annual Return) for 2015 –
2016
6. ANNUAL STATEMENT OF ACCOUNTS

To approve Section 2 of the Annual Return for 2015 – 2016
