Maureen Dodds Former Councillor and Oakham Mayor
Maureen died this morning at the Rutland Care Village after long illness.
Maureen resigned from Oakham Town Council in 2014 in the same year
she stepped down as Oakham in Bloom chairman. They created her a special
post as president because Maureen did not ever want to stop working.
Cllr Adam Lowe Oakham Mayor said Maureen did a lot for the town.
I simply send my best wishes to her family at this difficult time for them.
Maureen was fondly called the duchess by some members of Oakham
Town Council past and present and I am sure they will miss her and
remember the many jolly times they had in her presence.
