Oakham’s Catmose Nursery is likely to close its doors permanently Not Linked to Ofsted Report following the escape of Joseph Kemp
Rutland and District Schools’ Federation – which runs the nursery as well as a number of other schools – is to discuss closing it down permanently when a meeting is held next week.
The Federation has written to staff highlighting the financial reasons for the proposal to close
the letter also states some staff may be made redundant.
The federation is currently wanting to open a new primary school on the Catmose Campus
I wonder how they can afford this if the can't afford to run what they have already?
I wonder if they will build a new nursery further down the line the building they currently
use is pretty crap although its been their for a number of years it looks very temporary.
If the meeting decides to close the nursery a lot of public money would have been wasted tarting up the building this summer.
The federation could always return the property to Rutland County Council so they can use it
for children's services.
