Rutland Lions Rutland Concert Band Christmas Concert Oakham School Chapel Millie's Fund
20 December at 1900–2100
Oakham School Chapel, Chapel Close, LE15 6DT
A sparkling evening of Christmas music will be provided by The Rutland Concert Band, led by Musical Director, Ian Halcrow, with the proceeds of the concert in aid of “Millie’s Fund”. Millie is local girl aged thirteen years who suffers from Rett Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that affects brain development, primarily in girls. Millie has never spoken and has severe mobility problems. Millie’s Fund has been set up in order to purchase some very special computer software that will enable Mille to interact with her computer using just the movement of her eyes.
Tickets are £8 for adults and £5 for students and can be obtained from Ford’s of Oakham in Church Street. The chapel can hold a maximum of 250 people so please buy early to avoid disappointment.
