Braunston Fayre
Monday, May 1st
The Braunston May Fayre will take place on Monday May 1st this year. Come along and experience this traditional English village fayre with something for all the family. There's a street market selling all sorts of everything, children's fairground rides and family games, classic cars, craft market in the church, tombola and raffle, live music, and delicious hot food stalls. There's the famous Braunston Duck Race in the stream and an open dog show in the afternoon.
There are plenty of refreshment options available, from burgers, hot dogs and hog roast along the street, to homemade sandwiches and cakes in the village hall, so you certainly won't go hungry.
At 3pm in the afternoon the May Queen is crowned at a ceremony which concludes with traditional dancing around the May Pole by the local children. The raffle draw at 4pm closes the event.
The event begins at 10am and there is parking off Knossington Road.
Price: Free, parking £1.
