New Brass Description Plaque Missing From Gaol Street Oakham
Earlier this year Oakham Town Council found it had a budget under spend
of nearly £500 for the Gaol Street Mural Project. So they decided to give
it to the artist who had the tiles made to produced a plaque which would
explain the installation.
The new plaque has not been up long and now it has been taken.
Although I don't think it should have been taken I don't think it should
be replaced.
If it was taken for scrap value I doubt if it was worth £2 it was certainly not
worth the £500
