Oakham Town Council Clerk refuses to share Wicksteed Safety Inspection reports with members
Oakham Town Council is reactive rather than proactive.
Meaning the play areas are not maintained and work or removal of play equipment
is carried out only when its become dangerous.
Last month we were told there were a few minor things in the reports
then a swing was removed because it was dangerous and now the hole
below another swing gets bigger.
The roundabout in the toddlers play area has for many years been highlighted
as a risk as it spins wonky and there is a risk a child could trap their arm or foot
under it.
