Oakham Canal Guided Walks
Multiple dates from Saturday, September 9th to Saturday, October 21st
The Melton and Oakham Waterways Society is offering short guided walks of the Oakham Canal. Walks take place every Saturday (weather permitting) from 9th September until 21st October. Meet at Oakham Church Street Car Park at 10:00 am. Walks are approximately 5 miles and take 2½-3 hours, including time for a refreshment stop. Learn about the history of the canal and our plans for the future. Junior walkers and well behaved dogs on leads are welcome. The route is currently unsuitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Walks are free, but donations to the Melton and Oakham Waterways Society welcome.
