Oakham Town Council Co-options
Unfortunately I can not say if Oakham Town Council agreed to co-opt or not co-opt any
new members onto the council
The council in the spirit of openness and transparency declared the consideration of
co-options an exempt item.
I wonder if the council has read the rules that state all aspects of co-option must
be carried out in a open and transparent way.
The Transparency code which came into force in July this year was not even considered.
The last time Co-options were exempted was in 2013 and the Mayor Cllr Jane Woodcock
at the time write and said the council will learn and it would not happen again.
Oakham Town Council seems to have an inability to learn.
