The Rutlander Train at Rocks By Rail - The Living Ironstone Museum
Sunday, November 19th
Steam is being raised once again at Rocks By Rail for the popular 'Rutlander' train service.
Pay once and ride all day in one of our two passenger brake vans,
hauled by one of our resident Andrew Barclay saddle tank locomotives.
The trip will take you from our platform and along the former minerals
branch line which once served the sidings of the ironstone quarries in
the area. Visitors can also view our fleet of historic ironstone locomotives in the recently opened Simon Layfield Exhibition Centre which now houses the greater part of the museums collection. The Woolsthorpe Workshop is also open for visitors to see progress of ongoing locomotive restorations.
Price: Adult £8, Senior Citizen £7, Child (3-14 years) £5
