Chris Bavin Filming Britain in Bloom Entry Oakham Rutland For New BBC 2 show
Britain in Bloom on the BBC: new TV show to follow the nation's gardening competition Chris Bavin and the team started filming in Oakham Rutland on Sunday 4th June 2017
Not a bad little show for Oakham.
What was obvious is the lack of involvement from local business.
Pippy Woodley Resigned and later the press officer did the same, Craig was responsible for that.
he was thrown out of Pippy's garden for abusive and bullying conduct.
Pippy had left Oakham in Bloom before filming started but the production company insisted
she remained but the conduct of Craig became to much during filming and she stopped filming.
Fortunately Cllr Joyce Lucas's lie was cut from the show. Oakham in Bloom did not
create a pollinating corner on Princess Avenue Playing field. The town council gave
her £200 to create it and so far it is hard to see much evidence of the money being
spent. It is good to learn a proper pollinating area is to be created this year at Oakham
Castle.
