Conservative Deputy Leader Councillor Nick Begy Has stood down from the cabinet and his role as Deputy Leader of Rutland County Council. Claiming outside work commitments were preventing him from doing the job. He will continue as a Greatham Ward Councillor.
Nick tried to fill his fathers boots shortly after he died, Nick is certainly no Roger Begy and should never have been appointed deputy leader of the Council.
The current leader is not a popular man I believe from what people are saying Cllr Oliver Hemsley is
not suitable to lead the council.
Cllr Hemsley has appointed Cllr Gordon Brown as his new deputy, It is a shame he was not selected as leader and perhaps the council would not be so unpopular with residents.
It will be interesting to watch if the local chair of the conservatives Mrs Clifton is elected on Friday.
She is rather like me very blunt and has already promised to sort out the naughty badly behaved Conservatives.
