Eyebrook Walk
Sunday, July 29th
rescheduled from March when it was cancelled due to the snow
The Eyebrook Walk is a sponsored charity walk round the beautiful Eyebrook Reservoir on the border of Leicestershire and Rutland in aid of LOROS and other charities sponsored by the Rotary Club of Rutland. The walk will start between 1000 and 1200 and should complete by 1430. The walk will start from the layby alongside the reservoir below Stoke Dry (post code LE15 9JG) - there is adequate parking in the layby and along the roadside in the immediate vicinity. The walk will proceed in a clockwise direction round the reservoir through the SSSI nature reserve of the Eyebrook Fishery estate before emerging after about 2 and a half miles onto the quiet local roads to complete the 4.6 mile circuit.
Very many thanks to Ifor Jones and Eyebrook Trout Fishery.
This is probably the only day this year that the Eyebrook estate will be open to for public access.
