Oakham Town Council Fitness Equipment Princess Avenue Oakham
At our last meeting Oakham Town Council agreed to adopt some new fitness equipment to be purchased by Rutland County Council we will be responsible for insurance and maintenance.
At the meeting I pointed out we currently fail to maintain a small amount of equipment donated
to the town a few years ago by Flora Active.
Cllr Adam Lowe basically suggested I was a liar despite me pointing out I had reported missing rubber parts and the poor rusty condition over a year ago to the clerk. I had even provided photographs. Shopping rubber cushions and grips damaged or missing
After the meeting I took the photos below and sent to all members.
Cllr Adam Lowe pointed out at the same meeting me pay for inspections, yes true and the council is never shown the reports or checks any of the required works are carried out.
Cllr Adam Lowe said the Clerk arranges for the equipment to be maintained to keep it safe, not
true, lately what is true as things are damaged such as swings etc. they are simply removed.
The toddler area in Princess Avenue had a car with moving parts they have now been removed and not repaired.
