Rutland Remembrance Poppies Oakham Castle Oakham Rutland 2018
This has been a great project that involved all members of Rutland's community if they wanted to take part. I think it was a great success because new people were involved in the organising and it was not a dreadful Cllr Joyce Lucas project or another Cllr or former one like her. Often described as the old guard.
I like the poppies they are great and every one of the 10,000 being planted is different because a different person made each one.
Unfortunately on the days available in Oakham I was working so I never got to make one.
I think I will buy one when they go on sale to raise money for the Royal British Legion in
November.
