Serious Accident Closed Oakham Bypass 4 cut free from wreckage and taken to hospital

Initial Information:Initial emergency call received just after 11am to a report of 4 vehicles involved in a collision on Burleys park way in Oakham, emergency responders from Leicestershire fire and rescue were quickly on scene and have confirmed a total of 4 cars were involved in the accident. 2 of which were primarily involved and 2 cars that were secondary involved as a result of the initial RTC. The 2 secondary cars involved contained no casualties and all occupants of these vehicles had vacated their cars prior to Fire service arrival.

A total of 4 occupants were confirmed as being trapped within the 2 cars initially involved in the accident, with 2 casualties in each of the cars. 1 Male & 1 Female in each.

All 4 casualties have been extricated by Leicestershire Fire and Rescue service crews using specialist cutting equipment and are now in the care of East Midlands Ambulance service and Air Ambulance personnel and will be conveyed to Hospital.

All 4 cars involved have been made safe by Fire Service.
