Stamford Road Oakham Rutland County Council Highways Sign Light Fitted Incorrectly
I would have thought by now Rutland County Councils Highways would have noticed
the light on this sign on the Stamford Road junction in Oakham metres away from
the council office was incorrectly installed.
The light has been incorrectly installed for a very long time and could possibly contribute
to amount of times drivers have driven into the post.
On the evening of the 14th October a driver hit the sign the bollard were also missing damaged
in a recent collision.
All the Round about bollard have now been replaced with non illuminated ones clearly a cost
saving measure by the council.
I do wish something could be done to reduce the speed of motorists entering the town
I think it is a miracle no one has been killed or seriously injured this past year.
