Thank you for all those who voted for me. I was pleased to see such a high turn out and especially pleased to see so many voters just placed a cross against my name. Although not quite enough :-)
It was disappointing to see a record 58 papers spoilt, Amusingly a few people blame Oakham Town Council for Brexit. If only Oakham Town Council got of their backsides and did something for this town to suggest they have any influence regarding anything that effects the whole country is farcical.
I am hoping the 6 newly elected members who are also Rutland County Councillors will sort out our
pointless costly town council. Sadly they don't have a majority its a 50/50 split.
