Whissendine Rave
The Chief Constable Simon Cole often tells Rutland residents who pay the same for policing as those who live in Leicestershire the number of officers in Rutland is low but they can always call on support from Leicestershire. I think this weekends rave in the quiet village of Wissendine proves that
is not true.
A recent Tweet from Oakham Police seems to suggest only 4 or 5 officers attended and there may have been a risk to officers.

When 600+ people turn up knowing what they are doing and aren’t worried about the 4 or 5 police officers telling them not to go onto a site and walking around you it’s hard to break it up safely. Pulling the plug would have had safety consequences for the officers.
