The Chesterfield Hotel, formerly the Station Hotel, opened in 1877 and closed in 2015 after the previous company which owned it went bust.
Current owners Prestige Hotels (Midlands) Purchased the building in 2017 for £900,000
last month they were granted permission to demolish it.
The former owner was sent to prison his high court appeal
