Rutland County Council Employs Controversial District Enforcement Ltd, To Provide COVID-19 Marshal, District Enforcement Is Better Known For Issuing Many Disputed Parking Bills, the company has more recently moved into litter enforcement.

The company is often mentioned online by people unhappy with the way tickets/bills are issued. 

Councillors in a number of areas the country are also unhappy with the way so called officers operate. A Lib Dem councillor was silenced/muted at Windsor & Maidenhead scrutiny meeting. 

The main problem with this company is they don't charge councils for the service provided and they rely on issuing their tickets for income. 



COVID Marshalling
Working behalf of Rutland County Council
£13.00 per hour
1 month contract with possibility to extend dependant of clients requirements.

Tuesday – Saturday 18:30 – 22:30 hours

District Enforcement Limited are a leading supplier within the Car Parking, Environmental Crime and Moorings Enforcement industry. Having secured in excess of 400 contracts across the UK, we have gained a respected reputation amongst our clients. Therefore, we are now looking to engage suitably experienced individuals to take on a role as a District Enforcement COVID-19 Officer where you will provide a professional, smart and high-visibility patrolling presence. This will be based within our Rutland County Council contract.

Training will be given for this role; however it would be advantageous for the candidate to have customer service skills to assist them with their duties.

Main Purpose of the Role

Acting as the eyes and ears on the ground; COVID Officers are responsible for advising on any breaches of social distancing and where necessary, reporting ongoing problems for further intervention. COVID Officers will primarily be encourage social distancing measures, byway of providing:

· Promoting social distancing within the community

· Encouraging the public to be compliant with the current Government guidelines, such as mask wearing where necessary

· Educating the public and explaining the guidance that is currently in place within the borough

· Identify and support businesses who are not following the guidelines

· Capturing and reporting evidence/intelligence for non-compliance

· Moving groups on that are ignoring the current regulations

· Monitoring of signs and physical measures to ensure compliance

· Respond to enquiries and investigate any complaints, with the end result being advice given as appropriate and

· Working closely with multi-agency partners (Police etc)

The Ideal Candidate will have:

· Previous experience in a customer focused role

· Previous experience liaising with Key Stakeholders of the company and client.

· The ability to deal with members of the public from all cultures and backgrounds in a diplomatic and professional manner.

· Must enjoy working in the outdoors and in all weather conditions

· Excellent communication skills are required both written and spoken

· Will be physically fit as you may be required to carry our foot patrol for prolonged periods.

Contract

December contract; potential to extend

· DRIVERS LICENESE ESSENTIAL ; VEHICLE PROVIDED.

Please note that all candidates will have to go through a DBS process prior to employment.
