Former Rutland County Council chairman and Oakham mayor Vijay Dighe R. I. P.
Captain Vijay Dighe, has passed away on Sunday 4th September 2022
He was a Rutland county councillor for Oakham North East ward from 2003 to 2011, and served with as chairman of the council from 2005 to 2007.
He also served as a town councillor and was the mayor of Oakham for a year in 2001
